Why Us?
We are passionate about tailoring your care to provide you the very best for your menopause journey. We work as individual doctors with a shared ethos to offer women individualised, safe care during the peri-menopause and menopause. Our unique set up with an MDT (multidisciplinary team) approach enables us to pool our knowledge and skills – complex cases will be discussed to get a consensus of opinion.
We understand that menopause can be a challenging time for many women, but we believe that with the right care and support, women can navigate this phase of life with confidence and ease. Our goal is to make the transition through menopause as smooth as possible, managing uncomfortable symptoms and providing the care and support needed to ensure optimal health and well-being.
Who?
We are a group of highly experienced doctors with a wealth of knowledge in managing women’s health needs. We comprise three GPs with specialist menopause training and two gynaecologists.
We believe that the combination of primary and secondary care expertise makes us exceptional. Our combined GP and gynaecology angles complement each other to provide holistic, evidence-based care.
What?
We cover every eventuality on your menopause journey. From lifestyle advice to surgical intervention, and everything in between, we have got you covered. We offer a full range of HRT treatments, including testosterone, progesterone-releasing intra-uterine systemcoils and implants.
We can arrange blood tests, imaging and procedures should these be needed. We take a holistic approach and work closely with allied practitioners including psychologists, physiotherapists and nutritionists.
Knowledge
Why is it so hard for some women to get the help they need in perimenopause? Time and time again we hear the frustrations of women who have struggled to get a diagnosis and support.
This seems to be due to a combination of a lack of knowledge (in the population in general and health professionals) and the huge variability of symptoms. We want to do our bit to help change this by working with women and sharing our knowledge with local health professionals. Do look at our social media posts for regular updates and education events.
Understanding
We understand exactly how difficult the menopause transition can be. The hormonal fluctuations of perimenopause start many years before periods finish and can cause a myriad of physical and emotional symptoms.
These can have a huge impact on you and those closest to you. Sadly we have all seen relationships, friendships and careers crumble under the strain – and we want to prevent this. We are here to listen and understand your individual needs to ensure you have the support you need.
Empowerment
This time of transition is a brilliant opportunity to take a step back and think about your overall health. You will spend up to 50% of your life in perimenopause and beyond, and small adjustments can help keep you happy and healthy.
We aim to work with you and empower you to take control of your health moving forwards. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and not know where to start, we are here to help guide you every step of the way.
